slacking

i already fell behind on keeping up on my blogs!
but, we had an amazing summer!  we played outside a lot!  jake and i have been working on getting the fence built.  we have one side done!  hopefully the rest will be done soon!
we also took the kids to adventureland.....they had a blast!  natalie rode all the rides except for the kiddie ones and like maybe 4 rides.  we had fun!

then we went to the iowa state fair.  the didnt like that very much.  a lot of walking around!  they got to do the huge slide though which they loved!

and we went to the blank park zoo.  it was a bit boring.  we didnt get to see the sea lions.  they were remodeling their home!  which will be neat once it is done!

the kids went back to school today.  they had a good time!  they love their teachers!

and, my brother matt comes home from turkey on friday.  we went there for work!

next week

so, next week we are going to adventureland, the iowa state fair, and the blank park zoo.  exciting!
what else is exciting????
well.....for adventureland we were going to spend $130.....just on admission!
the iowa state fair was going to cost us $20....by Aug. 10!
and the blank park zoo was going to cost us $40....on admission!
the grand total being $190!  just to get in!
but.......
jake found a great deal on craigslist for adventureland tickets!  3 tickets for $45!  and one more for $20!  i did get us the $20 tickets for the fair on time.  and the zoo?  free admission!  ; )
the NEW grand total on admission?  $85!!!!!  how awesome is that?  we saved $105!  i am pretty amazed by that!  gives me more reason to look forward to next week....gives me more reason to eat more at the fair!   ; )

so my dad called me today.....he wanted me to help him figure out his online bill pay through the bank....again.  i have shown him about 10 times now!  mom says hes just making excuses so the kids and i will come over!  shes prob right!

then, as im sitting there, he brings his cell phone to me and says, text is different from calling right?  will you show me how? 

it was funny!  i wasnt sure how to do it from his phone though....but we may have figured it out! 

vacation is close!

have a 3 day work week this week!  exciting!  off for 2 days, work the weekend, and then off for a whole week!  we are going to adventureland, the iowa state fair, and the blank park zoo!  pretty excited really! 

another bit of exciting news.....i received an e-mail the other day notifying me that i won a dell streak tablet!  whoo-hoo!  just have to fill out some paperwork!  in case you didnt know, i enter a lot of contests on fb and twitter!  so far i have won a smirnoff t-shirt, a casio tryx camera, a make-up bag, an xbox 360 game, a captain america t-shirt from old navy, and that tablet!  so enter the contests you see me doing on fb and you could win stuff!

zach lost a tooth the other night.  he pulled it out all by himself!

now i have a birthday party to start planning....natalie is turning 7!

we went shopping this weekend....tax free weekend baby! 

new beginnings

well, its been a year since i have looked at my blog.
i  decided to go ahead and delete everything and start over!

jake is doing fiberglass insulation.  hes with a different company, but doing the same thing.
i am still working at skiff.
zach is going to be in 3rd grade.
natalie is going to be in 1st grade.
its hard to believe!  and school starts on aug. 24!
the fall season of soccer has started for natalie. 
zach will be starting soon, too!  he is also starting flag football!

life is busy, but life is good!
